**Cathedral and John Connon Clinch Third Trophy in Mumbai School Sports Association Football Tournaments**

The Fort School’s Under-12 Girls team showcased exceptional skill and determination to outclass Bombay Scottish 2-0 in the Top Division final of the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) Football tournaments held at the MSSA ground, Azad Maidan, on Saturday. This victory secured Cathedral and John Connon their third trophy of the season.

**Ivana Nahar Shines with a Brace**

Ivana Nahar was the star of the final, scoring both goals on either side of the half. The first goal came from a stunning curling left-footer from outside the box that found the right corner of the net. Despite a full-length dive, the Scottish goalkeeper could only manage to get fingertips on the ball.

After the break, Cathedral dominated the play. Anaya Patani almost doubled the lead from a corner delivered by Ivana, but the ball, after a couple of deflections, sailed over the crossbar. Ivana soon made no mistake in scoring the second goal from close range, assisted by Patani, as Cathedral continued to dictate play.

**Team Effort Leads to Triumph**

Nine-year-old striker Ivana was brilliant upfront along with Anaya, while her twin sister Ariha Nahar made significant defensive contributions by thwarting attacks from Scottish forwards.

“I started playing football at the age of 3 after seeing my sister Anaya play. We have been playing together since,” Ivana shared after the game. She, a passionate Ronaldo fan, expressed her joy over the win, saying, “It was a good win; we played hard throughout the tournament.”

Cathedral coach Daryl Samuel praised the Nahar sisters, adding, “Both have been training in my academy (SFA) and in school for many years. They know their game well and have been doing consistently well for us together.”

**A Tiring Schedule but Undiminished Spirit**

Both teams had earlier played another match on the same Saturday in a different tournament but showed no signs of fatigue in the MSSA final. “We played in the Anglo tournament earlier and won there. Ivana bagged the Best Player award,” Samuel revealed.

**Other Highlights from the Tournament**

Earlier in the day, Kyra Hulyalkar starred for Don Bosco Matunga in the contest for third place against JBCN International Parel. After a goalless draw in regulation time, Bosco’s skipper Kyra switched to goalkeeping duties, making two crucial saves and letting one shot go wide. She also converted a penalty in the tie-breaker, helping her team secure a 2-1 victory.
