Nine more UN staff have been detained by Houthi forces in Yemen, a UN spokesperson confirmed. Houthi officials stated that the legal immunities of the UN personnel should not protect alleged espionage activities. They also accused the organization of bias, condemning what they described as “legal measures against spy cells.”
Meanwhile, students and professors participated in a weekly pro-Palestinian demonstration at the campus of Sanaa University in Sanaa, Yemen, chanting slogans in support of the cause. The demonstration took place on September 10, 2025.
