A recent report from Bloomberg highlights a unique opportunity for a very select group of Pixel Superfans. Google is preparing to recruit just 15 individuals to help test and provide feedback on upcoming Pixel devices.
Selected participants will be required to operate under a strict NDA, using the devices while ensuring their designs remain confidential. To maintain secrecy, testers will receive special cases to use when taking the devices outside.
If you’re already a member of the Superfans group, you might have already received an invitation to apply for this exciting opportunity. According to the report, applicants will need to “profess their knowledge and passion for the brand.” So, if you’re someone who follows outlets like Droid Life and owns a Pixel phone, you’re likely well-qualified.
As members of the media, we aren’t eligible to participate in this program. However, if given the chance, we would encourage everyone in the community to apply. It would be an incredible way to have a direct line to the Pixel team and influence future devices.
While the chance to be selected is slim—after all, Google is only looking for 15 participants—this remains a fantastic opportunity for dedicated Pixel fans to get involved. Fingers crossed for those who apply!
