**North Carolina Man Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize During Quick Convenience Store Stop**

On Saturday, Durham resident Oscar Galdamez Rosales experienced an unexpected stroke of luck during an ordinary trip to a convenience store. What began as a simple errand to get cash for a haircut turned into a life-changing moment when Rosales won a $100,000 lottery prize.

“It was just a usual Saturday at first,” Rosales told North Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I had a haircut.”

After his trim, Rosales realized he didn’t have any cash on hand to pay the barber. To remedy this, he stopped by the Lighthouse Food Mart on Holloway Street in Durham to withdraw some money. While there, he decided to purchase a $20 Ruby Red 7’s scratch-off ticket.

“Something just told me to buy that, so I went for it,” he said.

After paying his barber, Rosales returned to his truck and scratched off the ticket, revealing a $100,000 prize.

“I was definitely feeling a lot of emotions,” he shared.

Looking ahead, Rosales is already planning how to use his winnings. “This will help me complete some goals that I have,” he said. “It’s definitely going to help.”

This fortunate turn of events proves that sometimes, a quick stop can lead to big rewards.
