**Obituary Specifications:**
– Name of Deceased

– A photo in JPEG or PDF format is preferable; TIF and other file formats are also accepted. We will contact you if there are any issues with the photo.
– Ad Run Dates

There is a discount for running an obituary more than one day, but this must be scheduled at the time of the first placement to apply. If a photo is used, it must be included on both days for the discount. Please contact us for more information.

**Policies:**

*Verification of Death:*
To publish obituaries, we require the name and phone number of the funeral home or cremation society handling the arrangements. We must contact them during business hours to verify the death. For cases where the body has been donated to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program or a similar program, their phone number is required for verification. Please allow sufficient time for verification, especially during limited weekend hours. Alternatively, a death certificate is acceptable. Only one of these two verification options is necessary.

*Guestbook and Outside Websites:*
We are not permitted to reference other media sources or guestbooks with obituaries placed in print and online. However, we may include a website for the funeral home or a family email for contact. Contact us with any questions regarding this policy.

**Obituary Process:**
Once your submission is complete, we will send a proof via fax or email for your review prior to publication. This proof includes pricing and scheduled dates of appearance. Please review the proof carefully. Notify us of any errors or changes before the obituary is published according to the daily deadlines. We are not responsible for errors after final proofing.

*Online:* Changes to online obituaries can be made through the obituary desk. Call us with any questions.

**Payment Procedure:**
Pre-payment is required prior to publication by the specified deadline. After approving the proof, please call 651-228-5263 to provide payment information.

– Credit Card payments are accepted by phone only due to PCI regulations.
– EFT (electronic funds transfer) or check payments can be made by phone. Please provide your routing and account numbers.

**Rates:**
– Minimum charge: $162 for the first 12 lines.
– Each additional line after 12 is $12.
– If under 12 lines, the minimum charge of $162 applies.
– Obituaries over 40 lines receive a 7.5% discount per line.
– Second run date: 20% discount off both placements.
– Place three obituaries and the third placement is free.
– Each photo published costs $125 per day. For example, 2 photos published on 2 days incur 4 photo charges totaling $500.

### Sports Highlights

**Class 6A**

– **Edina 31, Forest Lake 30, OT:**
Forest Lake’s state tournament hopes ended after a failed two-point attempt in overtime. The Rangers reached overtime following a 42-yard field goal by Jayden Onuonga at the end of regulation. Both teams scored touchdowns in overtime, but Edina secured victory with an extra point after its score and a defensive stand against Forest Lake’s final attempt. Chase Bjorgaard scored two rushing touchdowns and caught another for Edina, who will face Eden Prairie in a state quarterfinal at Osseo High School. Eden Prairie defeated Champlin Park 21-16 on Friday.

– **Lakeville South 37, Mounds View 0:**
Nic Swanson and Griffen Dean each ran for two touchdowns, while Myles Krinkie returned an interception 52 yards for a score. Lakeville South held Mounds View to just 164 yards of offense and will meet Maple Grove in a Class 6A state quarterfinal at 7 p.m. Friday at Eastview High School.

– **Maple Grove 55, East Ridge 18:**
Kaden Harney ran for three touchdowns and threw for another as the defending state champions cruised into the quarterfinals. James Engle also ran for three touchdowns and caught a scoring pass from Harney.

– **St. Michael-Albertville 14, Rosemount 0:**
The Skippers, entering the postseason with just three wins, achieved back-to-back playoff victories after shutting out top-seeded Rosemount. They will meet Minnetonka in a state quarterfinal Thursday at Farmington High School. St. Michael-Albertville beat Prior Lake 14-7 on Friday.

– **Centennial 28, Shakopee 3:**
A strong running game and stout defense powered the Cougars, who will meet Moorhead Thursday at 6 p.m. at Spring Lake Park High School.

**Class 5A**

– **St. Thomas Academy 32, Two Rivers 19:**
The Cadets scored the first 32 points of the game. Todd Rogalski returned an interception 66 yards for a touchdown and caught a 33-yard scoring pass in the third quarter. Teddy Petschel also scored defensively by returning a fumble 41 yards.

**Class 4A**

– **Hill-Murray 31, South St. Paul 18:**
Freshman quarterback Brayden Hartmann threw for three touchdowns as Hill-Murray advanced to the state quarterfinals. Donovyn O’Donnell ran in two scores for the Packers.

**Class 3A**

– **Minneapolis North 56, St. Croix Lutheran 44:**
In a Section 4 final between undefeated teams, the Polars rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final quarter by scoring the game’s final 20 points. Colin Avery had three rushing touchdowns for St. Croix Lutheran, with Elijah Larson adding two more. Logan Lachermeier was the star for Minneapolis North, throwing seven touchdown passes.
