GORHAM — The Gorham volleyball team continues to dominate Class A, securing their third consecutive title at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.
The Rams defeated Thornton Academy in a competitive 3-1 match. Gorham took an early lead by winning the first two sets 25-20 and 25-23. Thornton Academy fought back to claim the third set 25-21, but Gorham closed out the match with a 25-18 victory in the fourth set.
Key performers for Gorham included Abigail Stevens, who recorded nine kills, while Liana Edwards and Ava DeVinney each contributed seven kills. On the Thornton Academy side, Marta Semino led with 11 kills.
