The Straight Record quest in ARC Raiders takes place entirely within the Dam Battlegrounds map. It’s one of those tasks that sound tougher than they really are. Your goal is to locate and disable three separate batteries before shutting down the main EMP device located at the heart of the area.

Straight Record Quest Walkthrough
After loading into the Dam Battlegrounds, make your way toward Victory Ridge. You’re looking for a corner stretch of road that lies between West Broken Bridge and Ruby Residence. In the middle of that desert patch, surrounded by rock formations, you’ll find the EMP device.
As you approach the device, a prompt will appear allowing you to “Investigate” it. This is your signal to start the sequence. However, before you can turn off the EMP, you’ll need to disable all three batteries powering it.
First Battery Location
From the EMP, look for a small hill with trees on top just a few meters away. Climb up the hill and, halfway through the slope, turn right. Near the cliff edge, you will spot a small standalone battery unit. Interact with it to power it down. That’s the first battery disabled.
Second Battery Location
Next, head back down toward the EMP device. Run straight past it and keep an eye out for a metallic hut sitting slightly to the left. Climb onto the structure, then leap across to the other side. Behind the red metal walls, you’ll see another power source tucked away. Interact with it to disable the second battery.
Third Battery Location
Once the second battery is disabled, jump down from the right-hand side of the structure and move toward the nearby tree in the open area. The third and final battery rests right next to it. Disable it just like the previous two.
Shutting Down the EMP Trap
With all three power switches deactivated, return to the EMP device in the center. You’ll now get a new “Turn Off” prompt when approaching it. Interact with the device to cut the remaining power and complete the Straight Record quest in ARC Raiders.
