**Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Directs Forest Department to Intensify Riverbank Plantation Activities**
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has issued directives to the forest department to intensify plantation activities along both sides of rivers, extending five kilometers on either bank. The directive was given during a review of forest department works held at Samatva Bhawan on Friday.
The Chief Minister emphasized the involvement of local communities in removing encroachments from riverbanks. He also prioritized the plantation of medicinal plants and fruit trees to generate income for residents living near these areas.
Highlighting the importance of urban forests, the CM stressed the need for their proper maintenance. He pointed out that river planning in metropolitan regions such as Indore, Ujjain, and Dewas should be aligned with broader urban development strategies.
To preserve river ecosystems, Mohan Yadav underscored the significant role of species like crocodiles, gharials, and tortoises. He directed that water bodies abundant with aquatic life be identified and necessary species relocated where needed, starting with the Narmada and Tawa rivers.

**MP to Organize Industrial Summit in Varanasi in November**
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that an industrial summit would be organized in Varanasi in November this year. He made this announcement during a one-on-one interaction with entrepreneurs from Varanasi who had come to attend the Chakghat programme in Rewa district on Friday.
On the occasion, Varanasi-based entrepreneurs committed to investing Rs 1,000 crore in the Vindhya Region.
Earlier, while addressing the Vindhya Vikas Sankalp programme in Chakghat, CM Yadav revealed plans to establish a new industrial area on 400 acres of land in Teothar, Rewa district, within the Vindhya Region.
He also announced an upgrade of the local civil hospital from 50 beds to 100 beds, along with the construction of a corridor along the Tamas river. Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 162 crore.
Investor Vinod Agrawal will be installing a compressed biogas plant, which will utilize purchased stubble as feedstock for the plant.
