FOXBORO — The New England Patriots faced some challenges during Wednesday’s practice, the team’s first session ahead of this weekend’s road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Three key offensive starters were absent or limited. Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte missed practice due to a hamstring injury sustained last Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. He is currently considered day-to-day. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson, dealing with a toe issue, was also absent, marking his fourth consecutive missed practice. Additionally, center Garrett Bradbury was a non-participant and remained on the sideline in street clothes. It is unclear whether Bradbury is managing a new injury or simply taking a veteran rest day.
On the defensive side, inside linebacker Christian Elliss sat out practice with a hip injury. His availability for Sunday’s matchup remains uncertain.
The Patriots are set to release their first injury report of the week Wednesday evening, which should provide more clarity on the health status of these players moving forward.
