Asif Khan is the CEO, Editor-in-Chief, and majority shareholder of Shacknews. He began his career in video game journalism as a freelancer in 2001 for Tendobox.com.
Asif is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and was formerly an investment adviser representative. After achieving considerable success with his own personal investments, he retired from his day job in financial services and is now focused on new private investment opportunities.
A lifelong gamer, Asif’s favorite PC game of all time is Duke Nukem 3D, and he is an unapologetic fan of most things Nintendo. He first became a regular at Shacknews when it was known as sCary’s Shugashack, in search of all things Quake.
When he isn’t immersed in investments or gaming, Asif is a purveyor of fine electronic music. He also has an enduring—and some might say irrational—love for Cleveland sports.
