Are we sure that Jaylen Warren is playing the right sport? The Pittsburgh Steelers running back looked more like a track and field athlete with his jaw-dropping play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
The Steelers visited the Chargers at SoFi Stadium, aiming to secure back-to-back wins after their upset of the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. However, Pittsburgh appeared lackluster in the first half, as the Chargers took the lead into the break, 12-3.
In desperate need of a morale boost in the third quarter, the Steelers found their spark right away. On their first play after halftime, Warren leapt over Cam Hart before being tackled at the 23-yard line. This breathtaking hurdle quickly went viral among fans and analysts alike.

Despite Warren’s gallant effort and electrifying athleticism, the Steelers struggled to close the gap. Their anemic defense continued to struggle, allowing the Chargers to pull further ahead.
Fans also voiced frustration at Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin for long stretches without giving the ball to the 27-year-old running back. Prior to facing Los Angeles, Warren had tallied 99 carries for 404 yards and two touchdowns.
As of writing, the Chargers hold a comfortable 22-3 lead over the Steelers in the fourth quarter. Regardless of the final score, Jaylen Warren’s performance was a highlight Steelers fans won’t soon forget.
