**GTA 5 Could Be Returning to PlayStation Plus, According to Reports**
Recent reports suggest that Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) might be making a comeback to the PlayStation Plus subscription service. A prominent French journalist known as Billbil-kun has claimed that the iconic Rockstar Games title will be added once again to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog.
On November 7, 2025, Billbil-kun shared on Dealabs that GTA 5 is expected to return to PlayStation Plus Extra on November 18, 2025. According to the journalist, their team investigated the upcoming PlayStation Plus game lineup and confirmed that the latest Grand Theft Auto entry will be part of the offering.
Since its initial release over a decade ago, GTA 5 has appeared on PlayStation Plus multiple times. The game was first added to the premium subscription service in December 2023 and then again in November 2024. However, each time it was eventually removed after roughly six months. If these new reports hold true, GTA 5 could be available on PlayStation Plus until around May 2026 before being removed once again.
As mid-November approaches, Sony is expected to announce new titles joining the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs. Typically, these announcements happen on the Wednesday before the third Tuesday of the month, which points to November 12, 2025, for this round’s reveal. Should the rumors prove accurate, GTA 5 will be among the games added to the subscription service at that time.
At present, GTA 5 is only available on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service and is not part of Rockstar’s own GTA+ subscription. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games continues to make significant updates to their franchises, including GTA 5, GTA Online, and the highly anticipated GTA 6. Recently, they announced that GTA Online will be integrated into the GTA+ service and confirmed a delay for GTA 6.
