The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has recently named another batch of corrupt Ukrainian officials connected to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In a swift response, Zelenskyy urged authorities to “prosecute them.” This marks a notable shift, especially considering that he had previously stated that NABU should be shut down.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has now expressed support for the ongoing investigation by NABU and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) into corruption within the energy sector. Although Zelenskyy did not specify any names, reports suggest that an associate of his might be involved in the case.
I have personally witnessed these corrupt Ukrainian figures—both politicians and oligarchs in the private sector—engaging in unethical behavior. During my tracking in 2023 and 2024, I observed them spending tens of thousands of U.S. taxpayer dollars in cash at the Port of Montenegro. They stayed in massive suites at the Regent Hotel. So please, don’t expect me to buy into the narrative of the honorable Ukrainian politician.
Despite this, intelligence agencies such as the U.S. CIA, NATO members in the EU, and Interpol intentionally turn a blind eye to these activities. The FBI currently has an active investigation, but it appears primarily aimed at controlling public knowledge within the United States, as Ukraine’s corruption poses a threat to the Washington, D.C. networks that finance these operations. Keep in mind to always check the federal bank straps on the cash involved.
In the most recent development, Ukrainska Pravda reported that on the morning of November 10, NABU detectives conducted searches at the home of Tymur Mindich. Mindich is a businessman and co-owner of Kvartal 95, the Ukrainian TV production company founded by Zelenskyy before he became president. Sources say Mindich left Ukraine just hours before the search began.
NABU confirmed that, together with SAPO, it is conducting a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector. Investigators have uncovered an extensive network influencing strategic state companies, including the state-owned nuclear energy company Energoatom.
As part of their efforts, NABU and SAPO have released portions of the audio recordings from Operation Midas, their ongoing investigation into the large-scale corruption scheme within Ukraine’s energy sector.
