This week, Jordyn Woods appeared on the *Open Thoughts* podcast, hosted by comedian and internet personality Funny Marco. During their conversation, they discussed Jordyn’s boyfriend, NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns, whom she started dating in 2020 after being “best friends” for years.
Jordyn was describing how “chill” they are as a couple when Marco brought up Karl-Anthony’s tendency to apparently change his voice “a lot” — a trait some people online have even used to question his masculinity. Jordyn replied, “I mean, it depends on the time of day, how he feels when he wakes up.”
Marco then responded, “That’s not okay with me.”
Jordyn fired back, “What’s not okay with you? You’re here in a hot dog costume.”
For context, Marco was literally dressed as a hot dog as part of his shtick “to save the hot dog community.” He grew quiet as Jordyn again asked, “What’s not okay?”
After an awkward pause, he admitted, “Yeah, not okay for KAT to switch his voice a lot. How are you going to tell someone what voice they should have?”
Clearly bewildered, Jordyn asked, “Are you a fan?”
Trying to prove his fandom, Marco answered questions about Karl’s career. However, the mood shifted again when he suggested that Karl was a “ball hog.”
Jordyn firmly said, “He’s actually not a ball hog. Have you watched the games?”
Marco replied, “Yeah, he scores a lot of points, and he gets mad.”
Annoyed, Jordyn responded, “It’s cause he can shoot.”
Viewers found the exchange painfully awkward, even by Marco’s usual standards, and took to social media to share their thoughts.
One person tweeted, “Love her for this. KAT gets a lot of hate and it’s entirely unwarranted 95% of the time. As always, no actual reasons or arguments either.”
A viral comment with over 20,000 likes read, “She chewed him up with that ‘You’re sitting here in a hot dog costume’ comment. That silence was LOUD. How do you come back from that?”
