STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Shawn Jones Jr. led Mississippi State with 17 points, shooting an efficient 7 of 10 from the field, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, as the Bulldogs secured a 75-68 victory over Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday.
Josh Hubbard contributed 15 points, while reserve Jayden Epps added 10 for Mississippi State, improving their record to 2-1.
The Bulldogs dominated the boards, outrebounding the Lions 43-33, with five Mississippi State players contributing significantly to the effort.
Southeastern Louisiana fell to 0-4 with the loss.
