Housing affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing local families in Salem, Keizer, Gervais and Woodburn. Too many people from veterans to first-time homebuyers are being priced out of the communities they love. That’s why I am supporting Virginia Stapleton for Oregon Senate. Virginia knows we can’t solve Oregon’s housing crisis without building more of the right kinds of homes. She supports expanding middle housing options duplexes, triplexes and townhomes so working families and young buyers have real choices. She also understands the importance of housing for veterans ensuring those who served our country have safe, stable and affordable places to live. As a local leader, Virginia has shown she can bring people together to get things built responsibly and efficiently. In the Legislature, she’ll keep fighting for practical solutions to make homeownership attainable again and ensure that everyone, from first time buyers to seniors, can find a place to call home.
