Donald Trump was met with a roar of approval when he appeared on the big screen Monday night while attending the College Football Playoff national championship between Miami and Indiana.

The President of the United States has made it a habit of attending college football games in the past. For example, Trump was present at the Alabama vs. Georgia game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, September 28, where the Tide won 41-34.

His history with college football events dates back to the 2017 season national championship game, famously known for the “second-and-26” play. In that game, Alabama defeated Georgia 26-23. However, Trump didn’t witness the touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa to DeVonta Smith live, as he left at halftime.

In addition to these games, Trump has also attended the Army-Navy games and several other College Football Playoff games over the years.

On a personal note, Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, recently signed to play for the Miami women’s golf team during the early signing period on November 12. Kai made her LPGA debut in mid-November at The Annika, where she was the youngest player in the field.

According to USA Today, Donald Trump has now attended three College Football Playoff national title games.
