In a new video released Saturday, “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie shared a heartfelt message regarding the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. She revealed that she and her two siblings are willing to pay for the safe return of their mother, who authorities believe was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home last weekend.

“We received your message and we understand,” Guthrie said in the short video posted to her social media account. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us and we will pay.”

The video features Guthrie speaking alongside her siblings, Camron and Annie Guthrie. This message comes after local and federal authorities announced on Friday that they are “aware of a new message” related to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. However, it remains unclear what kind of message it is.

Investigators are taking a ransom note seriously, which included a deadline of 5 p.m. Thursday, according to Heith Janke, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Phoenix field office. The note demanded payment in bitcoin, with a second demand deadline set for the following Monday if the initial transfer wasn’t made.

Meanwhile, detectives continued conducting searches on Saturday in the area surrounding Nancy Guthrie’s home in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department reported that, so far, they have not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to the case.

Two law enforcement sources told CBS News that investigators are “developing good information,” but emphasized that “nothing is imminent.” Nancy Guthrie’s car was towed from the home and is being examined for possible fingerprints and other clues. Additionally, investigators removed a camera from the roof of the residence for further analysis.

The FBI has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery or the arrest and conviction of those involved in her disappearance.

Anyone with information about Nancy Guthrie’s case is urged to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s tip line at 520-351-4900.
