CHICAGO (WLS) — Two children were among at least five people injured in a serious four-vehicle crash on the city’s South Side on Friday evening, officials said.
Chicago police reported that the crash occurred in the West Pullman neighborhood, on the 1200-block of West 115th Street, at around 5:30 p.m.
According to authorities, a tow truck heading westbound on 115th Street struck a Chevy traveling in the same direction. The tow truck then collided with a CTA bus, which in turn hit a parked Toyota.
The Chicago Fire Department confirmed that two children were hospitalized in serious to critical condition. Three other individuals were also taken to the hospital and are in good condition.
At this time, authorities have not released further details regarding the crash.
