## How to Get Night Vision Goggles in Stalker 2
There are **four different types of night vision goggles** in Stalker 2. Some are expensive, others are tied to missions, and one can be obtained completely free—if you’re lucky enough to find it. What you choose to do will largely depend on where you are in the game.
### NVG Gen 1
– **Where to buy:** Sidorovich, the trader in the bunker at Rookie Village in Cordon.
– **Cost:** 24,250 coupons.
– **Location details:** Rookie Village is a familiar location from previous Stalker games, located in the south of Cordon, near the wall. The bunker entrance is on the eastern outskirts of the village.
Alternatively, you can get Gen 1 NVGs **for free** as a quest reward by talking to Honta, a returning character from *Call of Pripyat*. You can find Honta southwest of the Weather Station in Zaton. Complete his mutant hunting quest to earn a free pair.
You can also find a free pair in the **Poorly Hidden Stash** at the Waste Processing Station, located south of the Cement Factory in the northern section of Wild Island.

### Additional Notes
NVGs can also be found in other locations and potentially in other stashes throughout the game. However, these locations have yet to be discovered and verified by the player community.
If more easily accessible or less costly NVGs are found, this guide will be updated accordingly to help you get the best night vision gear as quickly as possible.
