Kate Winslet Royally Impressed by King Charles in New Documentary “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision”
Kate Winslet, star of “Titanic,” has expressed her admiration for King Charles and his environmental efforts. Winslet, who narrates the upcoming documentary “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision,” praised the king for his unifying approach. “His Majesty united so many different people because the only path forward is together,” she said in a new trailer released on Thursday.
The documentary highlights King Charles’s work through The King’s Foundation. The Prime Video trailer features stunning images of wildlife and scenes of the 77-year-old monarch meeting people around the world.
Kristina Murrin CBE, chief executive of The King’s Foundation, shared her excitement about the documentary: “Viewers will have a front row seat to His Majesty’s commitment to protecting our environment and the challenges and triumphs of this personal journey. His Majesty’s Harmony philosophy is our guiding principle at The King’s Foundation, and it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to share this thinking with a wider audience.”
The King’s Foundation, established in 1990, “works to build sustainable communities and transform lives through teaching practical heritage skills and leading green community regeneration projects,” according to the official press release.
King Charles’s philosophy of “harmony” encourages people “to see themselves as part of nature, not apart from nature.” It focuses on “the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of living in balance with nature.”
The documentary follows the king’s journey amid his recent cancer diagnosis. King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024 and has been undergoing treatment since. In December, he gave an emotional update during Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer broadcast.
The prerecorded message saw King Charles highlight the significance of early cancer detection. “I know from my own experience that a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming,” he said. “Yet I also know that early detection is the key that can transform treatment journeys, giving invaluable time to medical teams and, to their patients, the precious gift of hope.”
He added, “I know, too, what a difference it has made in my own case, enabling me to continue leading a full and active life, even while undergoing treatment.”
The monarch urged people to check their eligibility for cancer screenings. “A few moments of minor inconvenience are a small price to pay for the reassurance that comes for most people when they are either told they don’t need further tests, or, for some, are given the chance to enable early detection, with the life-saving intervention that can follow.”
Closing his message, King Charles made a heartfelt plea: “This December, as we gather to reflect on the year past, I pray that we can each pledge, as part of our resolutions for the year ahead, to play our part in helping to catch cancer early. Your life or the life of someone you love may depend upon it.”
In related news, Kate Middleton, King Charles’s daughter-in-law, also revealed she was treated for cancer in March 2024. The princess, mother to Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7), underwent chemotherapy privately while staying out of the spotlight.
In September 2024, Kate shared that she had completed chemotherapy, expressing relief: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
By January 2025, Middleton announced she was in remission, calling it “a relief.” She added, “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
“Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision” will premiere on Prime Video on February 6. Don’t miss this intimate look into King Charles’s passion for the environment and his inspiring journey.
